After reading a post on this site I got a trial run of Dfine 2.0. I thought it was a terrific program so when it ran out I purchased Dfine 2.0, (download version not a disc), downloaded and installed it but I could not use it in Photoshop as I keep getting a message to say the trial had expired and I can't go any further. I have tied uninstalling and reinstalling several times with no luck.
I am about to give up so can anyone recommend another good program for noise reduction please?
Did you uninstall the trial version completely and reboot your machine before you loaded the full version?
The best uninstaller, even better than program uninstallers is REVO which has a free version.
Go to the bottom of this page and pick the 1.94 version download otherwise you get the trial of the big one.

Yes I did uninstall the trial version before downloading the new one. Dinah
Before you waste money buying another programme I'd suggest you ring the software company's tech. support people. I've always found them very helpful

Thanks infocus. I haven't rung the company but have sent a queery to the tech. support people online and it might take a couple of days for them to respond!! I can get my money back if the mystery can't be solved so I am just getting prepared by seeing if there is another program available. I can buy Dfine 2.0 on a disc from a shop here in Brisbane but I am afraid the same thing will happen when I download it.
Don't know if MAC oprates like this, but in windows there is a "program files" folder where every program that gets loaded goes into the "program files" folder as a subfolder (for instance Photoshop can be found in program files/adobe/adobe photoshop). I have had to go into the program files folder after I have uninstalled software and delete the subfolder of that software to get it completely removed from my computer.
Hope this didn't sound completely confusing

Dfine 2.0 worked on my Mac OS10.5.8 (which I think is Leopard not Mountain Lion) before when I had the trial. My problem is not being able to get rid of the trial Program so that I can open the newly installed one even though I have uninstalled it.
Am looking for Program Files on the MAC but can't find it.
Usually when that box comes up, there is a registration option which is where you need to enter your software serial number. Once done, that box should not appear again. It sounds like a registration issue, but if that doesn't work, as suggested previously, call their customer support.

I hate it when companies have two separate programs - trial and complete. It can be a real nuisance installing the complete version. As the others have said, you will somehow have to get rid of the trial version.
if you have tried a trial software package and have gotten a new "complete" package I would go to the
programs and features page[?] /window
of your computer and uninstall the trial program first and then install the new software.
I realize that this may be a little late but for future used
I have a Mac. Go to "Finder" click on the Hard Drive (says Macintosh Hard Drive) Go to "Applications" and expand. There you will find all the programs you have installed. Then drag the program you don't want to the trash. If both the trial and the new one are there are there, drag them both to the trash, just to be sure.
Then restart your computer and re-install.
I don't know anything about that particular program so I can't offer assistance on how to activate it. As someone said,, usually there is an activation window where you would put the code in.
Good suggestion!
Just to make sure that the applications are really gone, be sure to empty the trash before restarting the Mac.
I had the same problem when my laptop came back from repair. I called the company and they actually fixed it over the phone.
