I've been learning Affinity Photo on an MacBook Pro. But I am more comfortable with a Windows 10 Pro environment and know my way around due to years of use.
Will Affinity work just as well on Windows? I wonder if anyone here has experience with Affinity on Windows. I seem to recall reading somewhere that Affinity is better suited to Macs.

O use it on Windows 10, works well for me. Should work on either system. Get the Windows version and try it, I think they have a 30 days.

I believe it was originally designed for MAC and Windows has been added and it works fine.

I loaded Affinity for Windows yesterday with no problems. Seems to run fine. The program loads faster than Photoshop.

I believe Affinity was originally only Mac compatible. I have been using it on a Windows system since it became available for Windows and it works great.

I too believe that Affinity was originally written for Apple systems and seem to remember hearing that the early Windows versions were not quite up to par with the Apple version. However, this was quite awhile back and I feel sure that this is no longer a real issue. Good luck and good shooting to all.

Works just fine on Windows 10, I plan on switching to Mac in the future and it should be seamless, may want to look at Capture 1 for your workflow as the two of them play nice together.

I use Capture One and Affinity as well - on Windows 10. Good combo.

I have been using Affinity for Windows for 2 years or so. No issues and pretty much an identical program except for some of the keyboard keys that are exclusive to MAC. For the couple of hundred instructional video you will run across some early ones that use MAC controls but the with a Mouse it doesn't matter and so these videos are useful for both machines.

It is a very good program with a one time $50 or so fee. They provide free updates and there are tons of instructional videos.

There is a learning curve as with all multifunctional programs. In the end, you are always learning new skills or using new tools as your expertise increases.

They are functionally identical. Affinity Photo was developed on the Mac, then rewritten for Windows. Now a version of it runs on tablets, too.

Affinity Photo runs fine on Windows. I usually run it on Windows but I also have it on a Mac. I believe Affinity Photo was originally only available for use on Mac machines but it has been available for windows for a 4 or 5 years now. I find it to work just as well on Windows as it does on a Mac.

I've been using Affinity Photo since it was released for Windows. Works like a charm! I'm running the most recent beta version.
