Seems like a very strange comment to make about people perhaps visiting a cemetery. As others have said, they sure don't look old to me. And having just visited New Orleans last May, there is a very interesting, famous cemetery there that draws quite a few people daily. They certainly look young enough to get out and about and enjoy their day and, probably, their vacation. Furthermore, as others have also said, I find old cemeteries to be fascinating glimpses into the past.

I was just kidding around. They were taking a tour. I wonder if this is the cemetery you were referring to?

Shows a disrespect for seniors. If you're not there now, you will be; and sooner than you think.
This is getting good. I was just making light of old age, and yes, I am already there. What really got my goat is that I used to get a 10% senior citizen discount at KFC. Not anymore. Now all they give you is a free soft drink.

Your statements are cruel and certainly unwarranted. You don't know them ar for what reason they are there.
Shame on you!

No sense of humor, eh? You must be old. Oh, and where they were standing was the place for the next tour to start.

One does not see one’s self in a cemetery looking up at dirt.
How do we really know?

Cemeteries are our last attempt at immortality. They are great history, however.
Yes, they are.

When you find yourself in a crowded room where everyone's discussing their surgeries and ailments, you'll know you've arrived, but at least you'll still be on this side of the dirt.

Maybe they're just waiting in line?

Yes, I am afraid that time is coming sooner than I would like it to.

I agree with some of you-all. Cemeterys are very interesting, historically speaking.
We stopped in Goldfield, Nevada on our way home from Lake Havasu City, Az last week and discovered quite a few "interesting history" located in their cemetery.

And they are visiting a cemetery in New Orleans? Are they nuts? I would tell them to get a life, but it looks like theirs is pretty much spent. The last thing I would want to do at that age would be to visit a cemetery.. no matter how famous it may be.

This resembles a cemetery that I visited in Buenos Aires. Eva Peron was buried there. The people in the picture look like passengers on my cruise.

I once went to "The" Boot Hill. I was not that impressed. There are some small, local ones near K.C. with such old dates that make one wonder first, how did they get there? And also, why? I am talking early 1700's.

When I was in Bolivia, I visited the cemetery that supposedly interned Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Probably just a fable. Still, it was pretty cool.

My wife and I walked through that cemetery. It was quite interesting. I would have loved have had the time to visit one of the civil war cemeteries.

Just did Gettysburg a year ago. I'm from there, with folk on both sides- mostly Blue, tho.
I have a kid with kids near there. 1st grader wanted to know who I knew. And which one was mine.
Being Grandpa, I told him. Showed him. Got yelled at by his mom. Great times.
Remember, betwixt All Hallows and Easter, be out before dark.

Interesting. I was so obtuse as a kid. There is a cemetery in Chicago that only allows plaques flush with the ground; no grave stones or the like. Well, my mom came looking for me one evening because I was late for dinner. We were playing baseball at this cemetery and there was this one are that made for an almost perfect diamond. The plaques being the bases with home base being a double plaque. My mom noticed straight away what part of the cemetery it was. This was where her parents were buried. She pointed out that home plate was the plaque for her parents. I never put two and two together because at that time, I did know much about Maiden names and what was meant by that so, I did not recognize that those people buried at home plate had the same name as my mothers' maiden name. I am still kind of dense.

My mom said no more playing baseball at the cemetery.
