Nice shot, thought!

That's the reason that I stopped and took the shot. Notice that the lights are not on. It was dead at the crossing waiting for a crew change.

Here are a couple of more from the same day.

Love these photos. What is the name of the short line railroad? I couldn't quite make it out on the side of the engine. Please post some more photos like this.

It's the MNA. Missouri and North Arkansas. The line dates from the early 1900's. The line ran thru my wifes farm back in the day. Steam engines at the time. They could go to the track and wait and the engineer would stop and pick them up. The locals called it the "May Never Arive".

One more and three of the MNA from my model railroad.

Thank you for the reply. I'm a member of Crossroads Model Railroad Club in Vandalia, Ohio which is on the north side of Dayton, Ohio. We have 55 members and I am planning an HO layout for home before I get too old. I'm 76 now, so I better hurry. I like the idea of a short line. Here is a link with a video. It is pretty old because now the roundhouse is completed and I noticed a few minor things in the video that have been changed. Whoever made the video was going too fast in my opinion. If you are ever in the area on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 9:00pm stop by and if no one is there to let you in just ring the buzzer above the door and someone will come up and let you in. Hope you enjoy the video.
