I love the captures. You have great subjects to work with. As for a cell phone camera, I won't knock it. If it works, great. A couple of suggestions. Just because a photograph is Black and White does not necessarily mean it has definitive contrast. Lighting is key. If you are working with a stationary object, reflectors may help but you must play with the exposure triangle to get the effect YOU want. For portraits, I sometimes use Kodak Portra 800 Film. For good sepia tone work, I will use Kodak CN400. This is an old Black and White Film. When C41 processing is used, you can get sepia tones and
great contrast. As for film cameras, there are a few of us old coots that still remember. It's about time we taught these young whipper-snappers a thing or two about film photography.
