I am sure many of you have watched a Mockingbird on a tree or wire jumping up in the air and landing again in almost the same place.
Perhaps this is a territorial warning, or just a display for a partner.
I do not know:)
However since I am relegated to a zimmerframe for the next 2 days, and because the construction next door was prohibiting any chance of sleep, I sat on the front lawn and shot a jump set. This was the best layer set I could get where he stayed in frame.

Thanks for that, I was wondering.
Nice catch of it's maneuvers......I too have often wondered about they do this little demonstration of sorts and never thought to capture like you did......I like it !
Thanks folks, glad you found it interesting.
I was watching this display on and off, while I was actually looking for something more majestic in the area, like maybe a kite or osprey.
And this thing kept jumping up and down and I though, there is no reason my camera cant capture that.
And so I made several attempts, rapid fire and slower fire so they wouldn't overlap to badly,
and this as the result. It's always fun trying something different :)
And something majestic was jumping up and down saying, me me me
A good idea, very well done.
Your best is pretty darn good!
