Tossing objects into the air for a picture is old hat, but this one is the best I have ever seen. So many of the flowers, evenly distributed and caught perfectly just at the right time. And the facial expression of the young woman -- beautiful and exhilarating. The OOF background -- just right. Well done!

Epic! fabulous pose dynamic... loving how her hands are totally open with palms upwards to the heavens...
Delightful color harmonies latent within... so beautifully done...

At f/2.8 you nailed focus on her charming face... with maybe a half foot of DOF...
Excellent color saturation and tonal range at ISO 100... 1/2500 works superb here...

That Canon EF135mm f/2L USM optic is to be cherished for sure...
Honestly believe that iconic L lens is more than equal to my vintage AF DC-NIKKOR 135mm f/2D...

As always superbly done BrentHarder....
You're a tough act to follow...

Thank you for sharing...

Wow Lemon Drop Kid.......I love your enthusiasm for this image and I hate to tell any secrets that may lessen your interpretation of it. Just know that the flowers are evenly distributed because I added a few in Photoshop. If you look at the flowers you will notice there are several that are exactly the same, even the same angle. Thanks for all the other compliments on it, they are all real.....i.e. the facial expression, the DOF etc.

Thomas, what can I say? YOU are the "Master" of people photography here on the UHH and for you to give me all those compliments the greatest honor I could ever ask for. Thank you! You are so right on with your comments about the Canon EF135mm f/2L USM optic......it is a wonderful portrait lens that instantly makes me a better photographer! The bokeh is outstanding at f2.
You mentioned that I am a tough act to follow.......and I must disagree with you. YOU are a tough act to follow. I am in awe over your photography and am constantly learning from you. I am grateful for the lighting descriptions that you sometimes include with your posts too. Very helpful!
Usually you have some constructive words to share regarding people photography to make the photo even better. Is there anything that could have improved this image in your opinion? Inquiring minds want to know! lol Thanks so much Thomas.

Lovely picture Brent. Any photo (or painting for that matter) should tell a story and this one certainly does. Very good composition wise with subject position, DOF, colour saturation etc. I like the simplicity and the fact the girl is not shown in her entirety - nice take on this sort of theme. Personally, I would clone out the blue sky as a minor distraction but heck... that's a lovely photo. Well done mate

Using Photoshop doesn't bother me one bit. We should use all the tools available to us, and you were a master at that as well.

Hey Paul, I'm attaching a redo of the photo with your suggestion (no sky). What do you think? Less distraction?
So happy that you like the photo the way you do. Thanks for all your input Paul.

Ahhhhhh........Lemon Drop Kid thank you so much for your thoughts on this one. I agree with you about using Photoshop to enhance an image. We are all artists and the tools in Photoshop for a photograph are like brushes on a canvas!

I love this shot Brent. Great color, composition and wonderful moment in time shot. Couldn't get any better than this.
