All of a sudden I have a blinking ISO-A icon on my D5100. I was at a workshop and must have pushed something. I googled it and searched here and only find general ISO questions. How do I turn it off?Evidently it will override any ISO I select. Thanks in advance.

You should be easily able to find in a manual, or a search online, how to turn off Auto ISO, which is what that sounds like.

I have a D7100 which is of the same generation. On it, you hit the ISO button on the left rear, and turn the front (sub-command) wheel to turn auto ISO on and off. I think yours may be similar.... No cost to try it!

As the others said, you probably turned on Auto ISO. On my D5300 Auto ISO is turned on and off by pushing the MENU button, selecting the SHOOTING MENU, going to "ISO sensitivity settings" and then "Auto ISO sensitivity control" where you will find the ON/OFF options.

Have d5100. Go to shooting menu, highlight ISO sensitivity settings - press "ok". On next screen select
Auto ISO sensitivity control. If not showing "off", press for right facing arrow then select "off" on next screen.
