La Jolla Cove is a small, picturesque cove and beach that is surrounded by cliffs in La Jolla, San Diego, California. The Cove is entirely with an ecological reserve and no fishing is allowed. All sea animals in this area are protected by law. Hundreds of sea lions call the La Jolla Cove home, many times basking on beach and rocks around the cove.

pretty shot! we visited there when we were in san diego...there were so many people there
taking pics of the seals, and it was very fishy smelling. the seals were fun to watch

Very nice shot; I concentrated on shots of the Sea Lions when I visited 2 years ago. (Left my 16-35 f/4L at home.)

Thank you Rod! I had been along the water's edge, low and wide by the seal lions, and here, beginning to head off south along the coast toward the pier about a mile away.
