Didn’t know when to stop...
I think you hit success with #3.
Those are really interesting! May I ask what program you used to get that effect?

I use mostly Photoshop CS2 & TOPAZ Studio.

👍 #4 looks washed out to me, and #5's textures don't make any sense to me, more like a starting point than typical of your finished work.
Stop at #3
You know I love that effect!

Visual Cognitive Dissonance
Abstract, Laziness, Conserving Electrons...
Pick one.

Bob — I really did mean for #4 to look faded and unfinished. #5 is just that same one in monotone. Needed one more for ‘rule of odds’; so, I threw it in there.

Aw, can't I have all three?!
I enjoyed your third image. Bev
What specific effect did you use in Topaz for #3? I really like it but don't want to go looking through the dozens of Topaz effects to find it! Thanks!

AI Remix in Topaz Studio, then a lot of tinkering with blending and opacity.
You can also get similar results playing with Topaz Glow.
Your initial light levels and color mix will have you tweaking for a good while.
I also check the negative view of my finished image. Sometimes I like it the best.
