First thing first, I am no expert nor I make any claims to be an expert when it comes to mirrorless cameras. The system I use is Olympus and I do not even use their top of the line lenses or camera bodies. I am more than satisfied with the quality I get and if I shoot at the 4:3 ratio (which I always do) then I am using the full sensor.

The perfect camera or lens do not exist. Each one of us has a different requirement when it comes to shooting. For those into action and wildlife photography it is a no brainer to buy a camera that will offer the best option when it comes to AF and sequential shooting. A landscape photographer is more interested in resolution and today modern cameras in my humble opinion are all excellent in that respect. A good and steady tripod with good photographic techniques makes marvels for high resolution images. All modern lenses do a great job when we do ours.

The cameras showed in the video are all capable of excellent results. Nikon and Panasonic are newcomers to the so called full frame mirrorless bodies since Sony has much more experience producing those bodies. Neither Nikon nor Panasonic are going to stand still and both, within a few years will be producing outstanding cameras to fit any and all tastes and needs. Obviously, Sony will do the same.

What camera to buy for those who are in the market for a mirrorless body. It all depends on the intended use as you saw in the video. Sony seems to be overall the best choice right now not meaning the other cameras are not going to do well. I would have no hesitation buying any of them since I am primarily a landscape photographer. Sony, as I said and from what has been revealed to me in this review seems to have better resolution and outstanding AF than the other cameras besides having those excellent Carl Zeiss optics. Nikon has an adapter that allows to use other Nikon lenses. Panasonic has to start with new lenses practically from a scratch since they switch from the M43 system to the full frame sensor. By the way, I see no issues there but it takes a little longer than lets say Sony that has already established a reputation after several years making those cameras.

A person after one of those "full frame" mirrorless cameras has to evaluate the use the camera will have in his or her hands. If action and wildlife will be the primary goal of the photographer Sony seems to be the way to go. For landscape photography any of those three will do an excellent job and Sony in my case would be my primary consideration only if I was going to be making 20x30 inch enlargements on a regular basis. I bet the other will not disappoint if those enlargements are needed.

Case in point is that any of those three will make me a happy camper.

I always enjoy this type of review because they are about how people typically use a camera and what results they can expect to get. Too many reviews depend a lot on technical specs and assumptions made by somebody sitting behind a desk.

A key feature to this review was there appeared to be no brand bias.

Pretty fair assessment of all three. Each has something to offer, depending on what you do or intend to do with it.

It will be interesting to see what happens by this time two years from now.
