I am not getting the results I want from the budget printer at home. As I search for a service, l I have found a mix of praise and too many customer horror stories. I would like to hear from anyone in the area that has been satisfied with the service that they use.

Largest size that I would need is 16x20.

Thanks

Have you considered trying Costco if there is one near you?
I'm very satisfied with them.
The one near me that I use prints on photographic emulsion paper.

Google as always is your friend: www.prodpi.com

Sorry for the delay, getting the answer took an interminable 1.5 seconds.

I used to use Pro Color in Minneapolis many years ago and was very happy with their product. They are at 909 Hennipen Ave.

Wow, did that trigger memories. Use to send my film and print orders to them back in the 70's when I shot weddings but pretty sure the business is closed. Believe the big gun is now West Photo on University.

Back in the 70s Pro Color helped me decide it was time to get out of the wedding business- they lost a roll of formals.

Try National Camera Exchange. They have just made some large metal Prints for me and they are outstanding. I have bought many cameras, lenses, accessories etc from them in the last fifty plus years
and I’ve never been disappointed in their print services or sales.

LOL... reason I switched to them. Another company I used in Florida had just ruined a key wedding roll of mine - it fell off the batch rack and laid in bottom of tank getting over-developed. Today's digital wedding photographers don't know how good they have it.

I used to work for one of their competitors — Herff Jones Photography, now defunct. WHCC was REALLY good back then — early 2000s. Our Burnsville lab closed when many of our digital customers switched to WHCC.

I've heard good things about Paint Addict. paintaddict.com. They are in Brooklyn Park, MN.

I buy all my equipment from them.

Do they have a method/software for matching color on your monitor to their output?

Just calibrate your desktop monitor with a DataColor Spyder5Pro or X, or X-Rite Color Munki or i1 Display Kit. All modern labs and service bureaus depend on that. If your monitor is not calibrated to ICC standards, you may not like the color from any lab.

I've used Costco for some prints and have been happy with the results. If I want something "special" or better (usually larger) I use National Camera. They are a great.
