I started in photography back in '67 with a Mamiya/Sekor. I haven't been brand loyal through the years but have probably had more Nikons than anything. I recently gave my last camera to my granddaughter and bought a Fuji XT-30 with 18-55mm lens. It should be here Saturday and I will probably need some pointers.

Welcome to UHH Richard - I think you like the classic look and control of the Fuji. The quality of the images of Fuji systems are really nice. I contemplated getting a Fuji system some time ago but can't seem to get away from what I'm familiar with and since photography went digital that has always been Canon. Can't wait to see what you post with the new camera.
Hello and welcome aboard...

Hello, Richard, and welcome. My first 35mm SLR, bought in the US - was also a Mamiya-Sekor, so we have something in common. It was the first 35mm SLR with spot-focusing, AND a fully-automatic mode, if I remember, rightly. My comrades at the local camera club I belonged to, at the time, though, persuaded me to take it back, and I wound up swapping it for a match-needle Nikkormat SLR. At the time, I thought I was doing the right thing, since I'd wanted a Mamiya camera, but could not afford the RB67. Within a year, tho' - I had bought the RB, as well. Many years ago - it seems like another century … OMG! … it WAS!!!
