So size (sensor) does matter!

For size of the sensor aspect alone it does matter. If it doesn't why do they make so many different sensor sizes and also so many film sizes?

Have any of you seen Tony's video about how important good gear is in photography? We keep getting responses here saying that the gear doesn't matter. It's the photographer that makes the picture. I've never believed that, and that's why I buy a new camera occasionally. Otherwise, I'd still be using my parents' old Kodak box camera.

The D750 is my main camera, and when I use something else, the results are not as good.

One thing for sure that doesn't matter, Tony Northrup's opinion.

Saying you need a camera to take a picture is like saying you need the sun for sunlight. It's a tautology and a logical fallacy. So what? Obviously a person taking an image needs a "camera" of some kind. I mean, no shit, Sherlock.

My point stands: for 90% of people and the overwhelming majority of pictures they take, the KIND of camera they use is completely unimportant and, therefore, the nature and kind of gear they use really doesn't matter. Shoot Canon or Sony, Nikon or film, a new mirrorless or 10-year-old DSLR, a cell phone or compact. It doesn't matter, at least not for the overwhelming majority of people who take pictures.
Saying you need a camera to take a picture is like... (show quote)

The camera makes a difference, but the skill involved makes a much greater difference. How can you dispute this fact?

A wrench is more helpful to the better mechanic...as is gear to the better photographer.
