A fellow UH member posted something he was playing with. Another member asked how it was done. I offered a way to create something similar and gave this example.
I also posted how it was created https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-589756-2.html#10113830
I'm sure many will frown to call it art (LOL) even if all steps were deliberate and planned.

My opinion is, of course it's art. Art is just an expression of an artist ideas, be it marble, paint, light, music or words. This image is no different. The following question is whether one likes a particular art piece or not and that is an entirely different discussion.

BTW, I think your image is quite creative.

Thanks Mike.

I only doodled this image to support my explanation on how it can be done on Photoshop. Personally speaking, I'm not really into abstract creations.

The question posted was actually an afterthought as i see this "Art vs Technology" a lot of times being debated across the net.

Like you, i believe that art can be expressed/created in many ways, all the while being critical of the word.

Even a century later, there are many people who refuse to accept Cubism as art.

Yes it's art. Just not photography.

Of course it's art.

(Art is subjective!
I've seen sculptures in front of buildings and wondered WTF is that supposed to be?)

To some it is art , to others its just a mess no matter how it is created.

So, if you use an instrument that is composed of metal, plastic, glass and some electronic programs. With this instrument, you see something you want to capture. You make a variety of different adjustments with your electronic instrument. You now take the electronic card that has all your captures and then insert that card into another electronic reader or into the side of your laptop. You now import that capture, into a variety of electronic software programs. Move a bunch of sliders to adjust and manipulate your capture. Then perhaps just to make it perfect you import it into another software program. Upon completion, you now declare your self an artist. You have produced a work of art.
No. You are a photographer who has taken and processed a picture.

To me that is art. It is all about our own creativity.

So do you believe photography can't be art? If so, you are in the minority. Photography has long since been accepted as art by the art world (art museums, art galleries, art schools, etc.).

Of course it is art, the question is, is it a photograph. Graphic art or design for sure, Photoshop's original purpose.
