A new version of either of those two lenses could easily cost more than your camera. I use a 28-300mm most of the time. Technically, it's not as "good" as a 270-200mm, but it costs a fraction of the price, has longer reach, and give me good results. There are lots of used and refurbished lenses available for your Canon. Don't rule out non-Canon brands.

Did the description say, "Very low shutter count," or do you know the actual number?

I would go with the Canon 24-70 f/4 L IS lens for this camera as well. You can spend more $$ on a lens, but the difference in image quality wouldn't be that much better.

24-105mm lens. With it, you can do most all your photography.

I know it is not popular here on the HOG, however consider the Tokina 24-70mm f/2.8. I have used mine for over a year now and absolutely love it. It is built like a tank and is rated very high. No image stabilization, however the Canon L Glass doesn't have it either.

Love my 24-105L along with 6D2. Going from a crop sensor (7D2) was a very good decision for me.
Personally I wouldn't go to older technology like the 5D3. But everyone to their own.. .

I originally had the 24-105L and sold it a while back, no too long ago and I got the 24-70L f/4 IS as my walk around lens. Since I go hiking and walk around in the woods quite a bit, the one thing I really liked was the Macro/close focus option that this lens offered, I realize it's not a true macro lens but it still does a great job on some of the wildflowers I come across. I'm very pleased with this lens. Rockwell does a review of that lens here (https://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/lenses/24-70mm-f4.htm) if you're interested.

I am going to tell you my opinion and I am not a Canon user. I have no way to know if I posted my comments in your original post but you have to begin by selling everything you have for use with your 60D. It makes no sense to buy a full frame camera to use cropped lenses.
Since you want a so called walk around lens I am going to be in agreement with the other members that have recommended the 24-105 L. I am familiar with this lens not because I have used it but because I have seen excellent enlargements made with it.

For your planned trip to the Rockies it is very possible that the majority of your photographs will come from this lens.

These are the only two lenses I own and use on both my T6s and 6DM2. Detail is amazing!

What is your order of importance:
1- Weight and size
2- Image Stabilization
3- Image Quality
4- F/stop ie f/2.8 or f/4
5- Focal length
6- Cost

Once you identify an order of importance for you, you can make your own decision.
One of the issues about asking opinions in a forum is that you get input from others that may not fit your requirements.

Offering my $0.02 worth, if your primary intention is to shoot landscape shots in the Rockies as well as street photography, the 24-70 focal length is the way to go. If shooting in good light all the time is your priority, f/4 is sufficient. If you intend to also shoot early am or late pm, you may want to look at f/2.8 versions.

Will a travel tripod be part of your kit?

Just because a lens has zoom doesn't make it multi-purpose.
All depends what you plan on shooting, but in my opinion get a wide prime and a 180 or 200 prime and practice those 2 focal lengths. Those lenses cant cost that much. Im not sure that spending 500 or so on a temporary "universal" lens with slow aperture is wise.

I don't know where you got your info, but, the Canon EF 24-105 f/4 L IS and L II IS as well as the EF 24-70 f/4 L IS all have stabilization.
