A number of months ago my LX100 developed a problem with the zoom....wouldn’t go past 1/2 way. Finally got around to sending it to Panasonic who wanted $250 to fix it. Instead, I found an almost new RX10 at Adorama for a few dollars more. What a great camera. While I know it’s a bit of a grey beard it takes amazing pictures and gives me all the reach I need. And...I still have the LX100 to toss in my pocket for as the camera works great up to about 55mm. So far im okay with the two different systems. Thought this was an interesting solution!

Sounds good. Which model RX10 did you get? I see they're up to IV now.

I skimmed through some reviews, and one of the criticisms was the "difficult Menu system." Nikon is my main camera brand, but I also have a couple of small Sonys. Once you become familiar with how the Menu system works, it's a no brainer. Reviewers shouldn't criticize a camera because of a feature that will soon become second nature.

I have the original. rx10, They are up to 6 with I’m sure some great improvements but for now this does the job. Many UHHers had the original and have said they see no reason other than extended reach to switch. Does the job for me for now!
