Although I own a bunch of Canon gear, and one Sony body, I believe, Sony, Panasonic, and Fuji are the current innovators and will be the future leaders, but they have a high hill to climb to get beyond Canon and Nikon.

I bought mine last July. It's a terrific camera. I use it frequently.
