Problem with PSE 2018

The clone stamp tool seems to have developed a mind of it's own. Instead of copying the selected area as it is the tool produces a 10 shades lighter version of what I select. I've no idea what precipitated this change and nothing I've done seems to effect it. Help.

Look at the tool's settings in the tool options bar (bottom of page). You might have lowered the opacity or are using wrong blend mode.
