We will be staying overnight in Cincinnati tomorrow and will have a few hours for photo opportunities. Any suggestions? We like parks and outdoorsy stuff.

I really enjoyed reading these suggestions. I live in Dayton...about 45 minutes north...and these provide some motivation to get down to Cincinnati.

With a 45 minute drive from Cincinnati you can go to Carillon Park in Dayton, where you will find (in the wild) a pair of bald eagles nesting with three eaglets. The Park is great in and of itself, but the eagles make it great. It's also right on the Miami River, where the eagles go fishing!

I think these are all good suggestions. If you like to shoot urban architecture I would recommend the historic Findlay Market (also great for shopping) and the neighborhood around it (Over-the-Rhine) that features a lot of photogenic buildings from the late 19th century.

Cincinnati's best kept secret-Spring Grove Cemetery!! Fantastic flowers, amazing arboretum, numerous ponds, old, old tomb architecture, bible flowers stained glass windows, visitors always welcome. A great place in which to get lost, Huge! Be sure to get a map at the entry office!

If you are driving, the Art Museum in Eden Park is great. Not sure how much photography is allowed. Cincinnati has great old architecture that you can photograph.

One word of warning, there is part of downtown about 12 blocks away from the Ohio River that you might not want to walk through. Driving is okay, though. It has great architecture but better to photograph from your car. The core of downtown Cincinnati is very safe during the day and evening. Enjoy your stay!

Skyline 5 way is the best. Also try the Boat House - Best ribs in the world. Bob Hope used to send his plane in and load up ribs. The walk along the river on Cincy side is also good.

The quintessential spot to visit in Cincinnati is Fountain Square at the intersection of 5th and Vine, downtown. And the time to see it is at night...absolutely stunning. Believe me, you'll love it. Just google Fountain Square in Cincinnati...you'll see what I mean. Enjoy!

At Fountain Square there is a visitors center. There is a guy there who knows everything about Cincinnati. An older gent named George. You might also visit Spring Grove. More than graves there. Simply a beautiful area with wild life ponds, flowers. Great place to spend time.
