I hope to be in by the end of the year... here's a little story how this has come about...a good friend of mine had bought ranch style home about 10 years ago then two years later got married and moved into his new wife's home, putting house on market almost a year goes by and no buyers, at this time his daughter had just become divorced with a small son so he sold her the home for way below market value; move forward 5 years... friend's marriage failed and he went and purchased this really inexpensive rundown hodge podge of a farmhouse because of the huge garage on the property to put his business/workshop & boy toys into; another year or two and daughter married a single father with 3 small children-ranch style home now too small, they purchase a beautiful large farmhouse and to help them out friend pays off mortgage to the ranch style and puts on market...ranch-style not selling again; Christmas Day 2018, family of 6 just discovering they are to be a family of 7 receive a call while at Church that their home is on fire! Total loss! But luckily the ranch style was still available and thanks to our wonderful community they "moved" back into their "old" house within 2 days....and celebrated Christmas and New Years as if they never moved! During this time my friend realized how much he loved this ranch-style home and decided that he isn't putting it back on the market he is going to move into it once his daughter's home is rebuilt...and just leave the small hodge podge farmhouse empty because he doesn't want to give up his workshop and boy toy storage building; not knowing about his decision to move back to the ranch style I was telling him about how my landlord is once again raising the rent to my apartment and that by the end of the year I will have to find a less expensive place to live; I've always loved this little farmhouse for its uniqueness...things he complains about (spiral staircase, '50's style kitchen & bathroom, two story closed in "sunroom" addition etc) I've always told him how unique this house is because it was quite obvious that the house grew as it was necessary, there isn't an inch of wasted space! Well he told me of his plans and asked if I would be interested in renting it at a reasonable price...well needless to say I have started packing!
