Some old tech.
We still see the buggies in use around here, but I don't photograph the folks. There's quite a variety for different purposes and for the different generations, family sizes and seasons. It's fun on a summer Sunday, to see the young bucks going home from church, racing along the back roads as if they were in a Porsche or a Ferrari! Some of them also still use the old horse drawn "muck-chuckers", seeders and harvesters.

Here are a few more "rounds" I was able to come up with.
Then there were what in England are called "traction engines" i.e. steam-driven vehicles not using rails. Maybe that's just my distinction between rail and non-rail.
I was told that the derelict seen in Zimbabwe came from South Africa with Cecil Rhodes' "Pioneer Column" in 1890. Should be in a museum, I was told, but the owner had transferred his farm ownership to the government, who were doing nothing with it. If you're interested in history, read
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_ColumnThe Sawyer Massey shows up in parades and agricultural shows around here - this time in Woodstock, Ontario.
I found the last one outside an antique store in Thunder Bay, Ontario. I don't know when it was built, but to my untutored eye, it looks pretty primitive. It surprised me because, unexpectedly, it was built in my current home town of Waterloo, Ontario. There's nothing doing heavy manufacturing like that here now. So the Waterloo Manufacturing Co. Ltd. has gone the way of most other Waterloo industries - Seagrams distillery, the Carling Brewery (and others), the button factory and I don't know how much more. The important insurance companies are still here, but we are otherwise now known as a hi-tech (think Blackberry, before it went south) and university town.
