I was in the Phoenix area playing golf with my grandson. I missed the fairway on one hole and had a surprise waiting. Needless to say the ball is still there.

Great shot of rattler. Not so great golf shot to land it there! Ha! I wouldn't have gotten close enough to take the pick, which may be close enough for a strike.

Fortunately I saw it as I was getting out of the cart to walk towards my ball, it was almost a "stroke." My grandson suggest I drop by his drive, which was in the fairway, with no penalty. He still beat me soundly.

Oh, he's only a tike compared to the one I came face to face with while climbing out of Linville Gorge. He was a huge guy as big around as my arm. Luckily for me it was late and he was napping?

I agree, free drop. The cost of the golf ball is definitely not worth the price of anti-venom treatment.
