Friday, continued.
I asked my wife if she would like to go to the opera on saturday night. She said "yes", after all it was Rigoletto.
So it was off to the opera house, very close to the Bastille metro station, to see if we could get some tickets.
They had good seats, so we purchased two.

Then it was off to the Marais district to explore the area.
We used A Rick Steves guidebook.
It was very interesting, although some of the history there in WW2 was very depressing.
In some areas we couldn't find anybody who spoke english.
Just a few pics from the day (I felt like a street photographer).

More to come and feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks for the tour! Brings back nice memories. I like how they appreciate the small businesses.

Richard, this is an awesome set and it brings back many excellent times I had in Paris, paid for by the company I worked for. One thing I remember and was told to me by the local employees I was sent to work with was that a lot of the individuals who live in Paris will not speak in English with Americans. They also told me that outside of Paris it was totally different, and it was.

Again, this is a fantastic set of Photos.

Nice work on all of these street shots, and the b&w is my favorite.
