Attached are two low light (w/o flash) exposures of, the Cathedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg, France with accompanying files with light touch-ups and NO Noise Reduction. The first was taken at 6400 ISO, 1/125 sec @ F5.6 and 24mm. The second at 12800 ISO, 1/125 sec, @ F4 and 105mm. PhotoScape X Pro was used on both for both second pics. While these handheld examples are not perfect, they exhibit much less noise, artifacts, etc. than either my Canon 6D or 5DIV would present in similar conditions.

Additionally: This camera also takes beautiful pictures in “normal” light. I will provide normal light pics if anyone is interested. I just thought that showing the low light dynamic range you be of more interest to anyone considering a FF mirrorless camera. It focuses “rapidly” and even will focus on a persons eye wearing sunglasses under ideal situations. No, I’m not saying that it is as good at finding/tracking a human eye as the Sony models seen on YouTube, but it will actually focus on a small face on the TV screen. Yes, I do sit and play with it while watching TV, grin.

The rear articulating touch screen is a joy to use and makes almost any adjustments a breeze. It also has a “new FV” mode that I use quite a bit. This camera has everything from full auto to just about any mode or adjustment that you may wish to ever consider. The knobs/buttons/menus are familiar/intuitive and easy to use for anyone currently using a Canon camera. There are a number of videos on this model addressing setting it up and using it.

I bought the Canon RP as a travel camera compromise, however, it is now my travel, carry along, low light, multiple applicability, go to camera. I have read that the sensor is the same as what is in my Canon 6D, and that may be so, but this camera produces much better pics. Maybe the programming has been upgraded? Your guess is as good as mine.

Edit: Both pics were shot in JPEG since my favorite PP program does not currently support Canon CR3 files.
Edit 2: Admin please move this as you see fit. I thought I was placing this in the "Photo Gallery", whoops.

Please feel free to download each to review/compare.
Constructive comments and questions please as this is a first-hand report and not a sales pitch, grin.

I believe that the sensor is the same as the Canon 6D MK II but has the DIGIC 8 processor.
