Her hands are a major distraction from the image.

I agree, otherwise a fine photo with play on lighting

If the Godzilla hand were gone this is a really good image. The shadows and associated distraction take away from the simplicity and subtlety of softness of lines which, on their own render this a memorable picture. Like this one (minus hand) a lot

You're right--I think I had double or tripled the focal length of the lens, backed up and shot the same frame the hand would have been more proportional. This is why I like the comments--they all, at least, make you go "Hmmmmmm" and the thinking starts. Thanks to all

For me the objection to the hand is more than size/perspective. The smoothness of the bodyscape contrasts with the "gnarly and aged" appearance of the hand because of the lighting/shadows. Perhaps a slight rearrangement of the light angle would have helped.

Hand doesn't bother me, a nice spin on a pose i have often seen. Lighting from that angle is stark, and does make it look a bit more old horror movie-ish, but that is because the knuckles become pronounced, etc.

If it weren't for the hand it would be excellent!

But the placement/spread of her fingers, the angle of them, and the lighting combine to make her hand look overly large, and (oddly so) reminiscent of the Creature From The Black Lagoon.
