Homer Simpson Bug

This is my Homer Simpson bug. The ultimate still life. No pins needed. He's not going anywhere...
He's 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. And I just learned those were compound eyes with pure calcium carbonite crystals for lenses (they're about 3/8" apart.)

Retired a couple of months ago. Time to start playing with my toys.

D'oh!
D'oh!...

We are a very nosy group!
Please tell us about your macro equipment, what you like to macro-photograph, and what you want to learn.

D5200, Tokina 100mm. Homer was lit with an IKEA LED desk lamp no diffusion. I have a Yongnuo 685 and the wireless controller that are almost as big as the camera and lens. I need to get a small softbox and find or fab a side bracket before I can chase all the jumpers I've been seeing in my back yard. Or is that too ambitious? Those little suckers are fast...

I also want to set up an indoor stage so I can learn stacking. I have this huge rhinoceros beetle to play with that still looks as good as when I found him outside a motel in Page AZ 20 years ago.
