Not even 9 year. Compare the DR of the D850 and D5 and the D850 has higher spatial resolution and higher dynamic range and it's only 1 and a half year newer and cost less.

In order for Chris T to understand the pointlessness of his post he must first understand the meaning of spatial resolution. Clearly, he didn't.

I doubt that he understands dynamic range either.

Or even "apex".

It's hardly worth the search but I found three dog pictures from October 2017, ten flower pictures from January 2018 - all of them thumbnails, none of them remarkable in any way. There were a few more between those dates but they could have been taken better by a child with a smartphone.

It's more like 20 months of posting but that's still nearly 20 posts per day.

But that't not a record. Another member has managed nearly 80,000 posts in 79 months or 33 per day.

Why would anyone spend so much time posting?

I hold an opinion that Chris T is a hack and the joke is on those that pander to him. I think the other poster you speak of attempts to help people, especially newbies. This guy is a joke and a plagiarism specialist that only wishes to feed his sick ego. He has almost ruined UHH for me. I did attempt to block his postings but that cannot be done. I really wish he'd go away but as long as he fools his groupies he will continue plagiarizing Google. There is a plagiarizing finder app and I may resort to that and make it a quest to expose him. He could end all this if he would post a website with images.

You should not block his postings. I am against that.

Because they are Keyboard Kommandos! And have nothing better to do than to waste everyone's time. I purposely did not post on this thread because after looking at the title, I instantly knew this was totally out of his ability to understand, and any reasonable attempt to explain any of this to him would have less of a chance of succeeding than explaining differential equations to a second grader.

Aha! No wonder he didn't give me the equation that shows the correlation.

David, thank you for this post. I share the same sentiments and at times have reduced my behavior to resemble a troll which is truly out of character. His threads bring out the worst in me.

I have attempted to zap him in other postings. UHH doesn't allow blocking in the true sense of the word. I would have been perfectly happy if I could have blocked him. It seemed like every time I opened UHH there he was with his sitting on the righthand side of the photography technical god blessing us with his stolen topics that were, in themselves, a mile over his head. Gene51 is as smart a person as we have on UHH, and we have several, but we get the opportunity to see the proof of the pudding. It's walking the talk and ChrisT didn't do that. He is a total fraud and has driven me nuts for almost two years. Now ask me how I feel about that? :)

I have, Richard … one at 12MP, two at 16MP, two at 18MP, one at 20MP, and the other half-dozen at 24MP.

But, my eyes are not so good, anymore … so, shots taken 8 years ago, with a 12MP camera - look pretty damned good to me, now … but, if I were to take some, now, with that camera - I doubt they'd be similar.

And, until I get my vision corrected - there's not much which can be gained, in doing tests, currently.

Now your vision has been corrected, why don't your run the tests yourslf?

It's funny, Richard - you posted this - the day AFTER I had my Left Eye Cataract Surgery (had the right one done the week, prior) but I still have to go in, to the Ophthalmologist, later on, today - to have the right retina checked, again - may have to have Retina Surgery, too. After I'm back to "normal vision" - if, indeed - that's possible, at this late stage … I will see what I can do, in regard to comparison tests - between my 12MP DSLR, one of my 16MP DSLRs, one of my 18MP DSLRs, and one of my 24MP DSLRs … nice to have at least one in each res category - huh? … It will certainly be interesting - won't it?

BTW - I see this thread - which I abandoned a couple months, ago - has become like a ground floor attic - huh? … I suspect I will attempt to respond to all these disparaging remarks on my character, at some point - but, right now … I'm going to let them all slide. No point in aggravating the situation, further - is there?
