They use to care but no longer.
They are far from what they used to be, in a lot of ways or some way conservatives are the liberals of the 60’s. It’s left that’s repressive and controlling, if Dems of the 60’s saw what was happening now they would be outraged.

The holier-than-thou are afraid of Mayor Pete because he is intelligent, he is gay, AND - he is a Christian. For those Hoggers not familiar with Pete "Boot-edge-edge", he is a gay Rhodes Scholar combat veteran. He is the mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He is married. Served in Afghanistan. He won re-e******n as mayor with something like 80%!

It would be so nice to have an intelligent president.

I really enjoyed what one pundit said the other night: "These days a gay person is despised far less than a member of congress".

I AM a Dem of the 60's, and the repressive right and what is happening in our country with the Trumpettes really scares me.

I see, I will admit that in the early 70's I was more interested in smoking a lot of Dope than I was in politics but I don't recall the left being all about government control over everything, in fact quite to the contrary. You may have been a democrat of the 60's but you certainly are not a democrat of the 60's today.

Yes Jesus says come; but part of following Jesus/Yeshua is repentance, which means stop and turn away.
Being a practicing homosexual and saying you are following Jesus/Yeshua; is like being a practicing murderer and saying you're a follower.

But see here is where it gets even deeper, we aren't supposed to commit adultery.
Jesus/Yeshua said if you look at a woman and lust after her you have committed adultery.
The commandments say thou shalt not k**l; Jesus/Yeshua says you can't even think about.

The path to salvation is narrow, the path that leads to death is wide.
No its not holier than thou, but to be a follower we cannot commit willful sin..........

Here is the thing about homosexuality.
If I were gay (shuddup mj,FrankT,and Thom W)
and I chose to follow Jesus/Yeshua I would have to repent and turn away from the gay lifestyle.
Will it be easy no, but Jesus said we must pick up our cross and follow him.

You aren't attacking me but you are attacking the word of God.

I, for one, don’t care about anyone’s sexual preference, color, g****r, etc. I DO care about policy, period. So far, I have seen Pete join in the d******e crap more than discuss policy.
