From this picture alone. I can't tell if the cop is from immigration or a local cop asking for his liscence and registration. Can't tell the nationalism of the person, either. May not be his kid also.

When I first saw the photo I thought it was two gay guys in the middle of a sex act with a child looking on.
I much prefer beautiful photography over politically inspired photography whose only purpose is to send me a left-wing message. We get enough of that in the news already.

What's written on the statue has nothing to do with allowing anyone here just because they want to be here.
We have embassy offices in near every country for the purpose of interacting with the people of those countries. They are to apply there legally.

You have no idea if the person in the picture is “asking for asylum”.....given the little offered by the picture, however, it would be natural to see it as an illegal,border crossing and not asylum.
As for the canard about “we are all immigrants”, etc., I would say you forgot to add “Legal” in front of the word “immigrants”.
If you actually researched the Statue of Liberty you would understand the Statue of Liberty is irrelevant in discussions of any immigration, illegal or legal.
