That's my problem: Turned on 'Self Timer' (10 seconds) on my Canon T2i and now can't turn it off. (Pushing the left hand button that turns it on is no go.). Anybody know how to do that?
If when you turn it on can you push a button with Q on it? This should hilite options on your LCD screen, let you switch modes.

Hey Doc ..... you could always do a master reset
Pull the battery and leave it out for a minute or two.

Also, while the battery is out - press the camera 'power on' button.
As stated above. Tap the Q button, the navigate to the bottom right with the arrow keys, select the shooting mode, change to single shot or continuous shooting mode and give a half press of the shutter.
Thanks to all! Just got back from a short trip, and because of your help was able to use my camera just fine.
