Love the light reflections on the water in the first one. Nice images, thanks for sharing!

PS. Etch-A-Sketches are still used. My cousin's 12 year old daughter did this and left it on her bed last week.

Thanks. Your cousin’s daughter’s sketch is amazing. My sketches always looked like a two year old did them.

Beautiful shots - absolutely stunning in download!

Thanks, I always like the “downloads” better on the forum, the color seems truer on my screen.

Nice images, Joe. I found cloudless-sky sunrises in the Canadian Rockies to be great for Golden Hour images, too.

Thanks, I agree; I should have had my wider angle lens on. There is probably no reason not to but I don’t like to change lens when I am in a below freezing temperature location.

I agree. In those conditions I tend to get a bit "fumble-fingered" myself.

I was there at golden hour hoping for some still pools to capture a reflection but there weren't many nice ones. Found a couple of interesting ice patterns along the river's edge, made me think "Mother Nature's etch-a-sketch" (you probably need to be a Boomer to know what that was).

Thank you Joe. Your photo #1 brought back so many memories for me. For 15 years I travelled past that very same scene on the Bow river a minimum of 8 times in each of those 15 years and each time the scene’s “look” was different but still beautiful regardless of the “look”. Again, many thanks for sharing your photographs.

Both shots are great but I found the ice shot to be amazing. You don't see those kinds of patterns that often. Really nice.

Lovely images and I am familiar with Etch a Sketch.

Thanks, you were lucky to see the change of seasons there. I was there in Winter and would love to go back end of Summer/early Fall.

Thanks, there were some beautiful small ice vignettes along the edge of the river.

Thanks, Karin. I was surprised when someone posted they still sell them, I was sure it was too low tech for the smart phone generation.
