This one was 320 images stacked to create the posted image. I placed a piece of black velvet cloth a distance behind it to help create the black background. I use two IKEA LED desk lamps for constant lighting that I diffuse through two translucent drink cups with a white paper towel sandwiched between them.

Thanks for the kind response. I'm looking for ways to keep the fine hairs from matting when I clean them.

On larger subjects like a hornet or a wolf spider, I can tease the hairs back in place with a soft artist brush after I dry them with a hairdryer. This little bee was ever so small that I couldn't even tell that it had hairs until I viewed it under magnification.
