As I have said many cameras came with the electronic version of the level (virtual horizon) and almost all of them came with the hot shoe cover.
In the case of the D500 it has both.

Don't know where you bought yours Bebu but mine didn't come with one and I've watched several reviews on the 500 and they also mention that it didn't come with one..?
From what I saw/read, the D750 doesn't come with one either.
My Mate in NSW also bought a D500 shortly before I bought mine (this year) and his didn't come with a cover either...
