I loved using Aperture and it's organizational structure and hesitated until earlier this year to finally give it up and go to Lightroom. Aperture was just becoming too buggy in Mojave and when I got a Canon 5D Mark IV, Aperture wouldn't read the RAW files and so the time was right to switch. It's a process, but I'm finally to the point where I've figured out how to replace the Aperture Projects structure with Collections. It took a while to discern the difference between the Library panel and Collections and where and how master photos are stored (don't move anything on your hard drive!) and Lightroom, though not perfect, really does work a lot better and I love getting it regularly updated.

Sure am ! OS 10.14.4 but I think I'll be going back to High Sierra as I can't get Mojave to see my Aperture library for my photo screensaver.
I have no problems with other RAW files such as OMD-M1 ORW files or Lumix files or any other - just the new Nikon NRW. Still though I'm happy with the FastStone -> Aperture route finding I'm getting pretty good results from it.

Are you using Mac OS 10.14.4 with all current updates?
Bert see my post above, it appears that Apple Digital Camera Raw does not support the A1000 series.
