Airwolf, take another look at Regis' photo. He states he is using a 300mm lens and a 2x TC to get 600mm. I do the same thing with a Canon L 300mm f 4.0 and Canon TC 2x Viii. He ends up faster but also has mucho dollars involved.
Just my $.02 which is not that much.

That's what I have is a 300mm lens plus a Canon 2x extender = 600mm. Add to that is a 50.6mp camera which then = a very sharp photo. See my photo combo below.
