Can anyone please help?.

I have just puchased the colour munki photo. My problem is I want to profile my printer ( Epson Stylus Photo 1400) Munki will not print the test page and tells me that I need to make adjustments to the printer driver. I have just tried for a full day to find the printer driver to make the adjustments required. I just cannot find any way of changing the settings.
Has anyone else had experience of this problem or do you know how I can get round it?
All help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks All. Norman c

Maybe it's not adjusting the printer drivers but getting the updates from the manufacturer.

I own and use a colormunki and its easy to use. When you start the process a print dialogue box will come up and in that print dialogue box there will be a drop down list of paper types. All you have to do is choose the type of paper that you are using and set the right ink type on your printer, photo or matt ink. So you have to match the ink type to the paper type. If you still have the problem feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help you. You can also contact X rite, they are very helpful.

Hi Silver,
Thanks for the advice.
I think That I may have it sorted now. I have printed some photos off for my RPS panel and they seem very good. I didn't realize how much the colours change during the drying process. and Hey ! now they all look the same colour as on the monitor. Why oh why have I struggled along for so many years manipulating images when all this was available. Thanks once again good buddy. Just hope that one day you come to the UK and I will do everything in my power to make sure that your visit is all you could dream of.. Norman

Norman, Thank you for the invite its so nice of you to do that. I specialize in digital printing and I am a custom printer. The Colormunki is a really good piece of equipment, you just have to figure it out. There is one other thing, check to make sure that when you print there are no light blue borders around your prints. This is caused by the fact that there are two operating systems with the Colormunki and the newer one can cause artifacts on some printers. When you open colormunki look fot the colormunki name on the top of your desktop and click on the name. Look for preferences and click on preferences and look for the printer icc profile settings, there will be a dropdown menu and you can choose #2 or #4, icc profiles. If you are getting blue borders on your prints choosing #2 will get rid of the artifacts. Let me know if you have any problems.

Hi Silver,
Thanks very much for that information. I haven't noticed any artifacts blue or otherwise, as yet. A great tip , I appreciate you taking the time to explain.I have only just aquired CS5 and am still trying to get to grips with it. I have used PS7 for years so one would think I shouldn't have too much trouble...Not so, it is a minefield. Hope to speak soon. Thanks again. Norman
