This was an interesting image to work with, which is evident by the number of edits that have been posted. My edit was accomplished using Luminar 3.

I did really simple settings on this image. I took the exposure down a LOT, then brought up the shadows just a bit. (This is an old LR program.) I took the tone up a bit to add in a bit more "sun." I took the highlights down just to show a bit more detail in the boulders. Then I added in a bit of clarity and vibrance. I was going to deepen the blue a bit, but it started making the upper branches look blue and I wanted to avoid that.

The previous entry was on the dark side but was still a viable image to work with. This one is on the light side and you’ll see there is a viable image there also.
Feel free to download this image to your computer. Then you can edit it any way you think is an improvement or a different way of seeing the image. Black and white conversions, composites, color shifts, inversions, infrared. You name it. When you edit is complete, post it in this thread. We will accept edits until 9 pm on Thursday. After that no edits will be accepted. After all the edits are in, we will begin voting. Have fun!!

I chose Black and white because....well, just because. Added some sepia and highlighted the tree in the background. Hope you like it.

I thought this edit might be cheating and didn't post it but still want to show what might be done.
Rich said he previously posted a dark picture. I went to that picture and after getting it to the proper size I blended it with his light picture, this improve the sky immensely. This is not an HDR it's just two pictures blended together using a mask to bring in just what would improve the picture.

Very interesting and creative and good results. I don't personally think that it would be "cheating".

Not cheating at all. After all that's what "your view" is all about.
I've reworked that image more than just a little and often I'll make several copy layers and vary their exposures. Then using masks 'paint' in select areas and finally merge them all.
