The 7000 series nikon are great cameras but little is discussed by pros about the proper ways to set-up your camera. These cameras have lots of options but it would be nice to get opinions from the pros on this.
thanks
You might check out the "Nikon D7200 Experience" e-book. It covers the controls of the camera with suggestions on how to set it up. I've found it very helpful when trying to figure out what some control does and how I should set it up.

Generally, but not always, pros don't use crop cameras.

I'm not a professional photographer, so I hope you don't mind me answering.
"David Busch's Nikon D7200 Guide To Digital SLR Photography" and "Mastering The Nikon D7200" by Darrell Young go into great detail in setting up the camera. You can find those books on Amazon.

Agree. I have Nikon D7200. I have the second one (Darrell Young) and that's my go-to book whenever I encounter a problem. Never fails to rescue me.

This is what I used to help set up my 7100. Nikon D7100 Crash Course Tutorial Training Video | Made for Beginners!

NOT TRUE! There is a National Geographic Photographer that uses a Canon T5i for some of his work. AS ITS BEEN EXPRESSED TIME AND TIME AGAIN: The most important thing in good photography is the "photographer" not the equipment. Because great photography can be had by inexpensive camera equipment if the photographer knows what he/she is doing.
I have always used the Darrel Young “Mastering the xxxxx” books. He is thorough and provides suggestions and rationale for those suggestions. Excellent! I get the printed versions because I can take them into the field if I wish.
David Busch's photography instructions books are among the best. His books are not restricted to just the D7200. Many You Tube video links, already posted should be helpful to you. Check out any articles written by Ken Rockwell too. And I've heard that Steve Perry's e-books mentions the D7200. He is a pro, and a uhh member. Pros do use crop sensor DSLRs. But, their primary camera is generally a full frame camera. They gather light better than crop sensor cameras. And pro level full frame lenses, are generally sharper than crop sensor formatted only lenses.
David busch’s Guides have always been helpful to me. I have some I will gladly sell to you for a huge discount if interested. Minimal cost plus shipping. PM me if interested.
