A brown headed cowbird. One of the few parasitic birds in the US. They lay their eggs in other birds' nests and leave them to be hatched and raised.
Thank you all very much for your help. He was in my book, but the colors were wildly different I just went over him. Thanks again.

I can think of some other parasites that would do this if they could.

Cowbird. Not a nice bird.
Definitely a cow bird. Get yourself the Merlin Bird Id app. It is free and is put out by Cornell ornithology Lab.
A very well done photograph of a bird we love to detest due to it's way of taking advantage of other birds. It lays it's eggs in another bird's nest. The Cowbird egg hatches first then the fledgling cowbird tosses the other eggs out of the nest to their death. The "parent" birds seem not to notice and they care for the cowbird until it fledges.
this show signs of beginning intelligence , smart bird .

Nice photo of a Male Cowbird. Photogeneralist's write up is right on the button.
Ha ha! We had a cowbird in our yard today too! First time visitor. Nice shot, Will.
