The current, sagacious thoughts by the ones who know, say the best nature shots should be taken at the same level as the subject. I can agree, but I can't gain the hight of a bird in a tree nor am I going to lay in the mud for a photo beside if I was at the same level as this wood Duck I would not be able to get the reflection, which (to me) is the best part of this image. An amazing capture of the wood duck, Whistletown.
Brilliant picture. I am in the UK at the moment and came across a Mandarin Duck, but did not have my camera with me.
Love the shot you got, more so because of the calm water and reflection.
