Appreciate the compliment Tom.
These were taken in a light sprinkle at shutter speed of 1/1600 aperture F/5.6 and 1000-ISO.
These photos are directly off the camera. I probably could have stood to shade the white balance towards a little less blue?
...or, maybe it's just my eyes.

Nice work Jo. A little under exposed I think but good stuff. I am going to shoot my first ever lacrosse match today. Have always wanted to but in this area Lacrosse was not reported very much and I didn't know that there were as many teams and games going on as there are. Really look forward to shooting and will post a few shoots when I can for critique. I think the only (well maybe not the only LOL) problem I might have is where to position myself to shoot. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have shot some soccer but don't know if that is going to help or not. Watching Lacrosse I think it is different enough how it is played and the equipment they use might make it completely different to shoot. Post more when you get the chance. Thanks
Tom
Very nice Jo. I’m going to try some LAX shots soon and I too would appreciate your suggestion about where to position myself. Thanks and please post more ! Paul

Jo these are very nice especially with a 55-300 kit lens. It doesn't matter so much about the equipment but having a feel for the game and how to shoot it. Always follow the ball I would guess. Again nice shots.
Thanks for the compliments/tips guys!!! I need all I can get. Especially the tips.
As far as positioning, I could not agree with what Jules said more.
In general I try to spend some time in each goal for both offense and defense. Just a few yards before the goal to the back corner when I’m following offense. Top of the box to even with the goal when I’m following defense.
Head on a swivel.
You spend some time midfield too but each game’s different and you get a feel for the flow.
