Really like that last one, Karin...!
Some of my old-fashioned images from Occupied Germany after WW II, showing a variety of paths. The first is a park area of the Upper Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden, famous for its beautiful Alpine scenery but also notorious for Hitler's presence there during the Nazi Third Reich (1933-1945). The second scene is a quirky pathway clinging along the side of a mountain, just above the Berchtesgaden Catholic church. The third photo shows one of the many footpaths between Bavarian fields; this one seems to climb right up to the sky with a rather rugged stairway.
An evening view from a Berchtesgaden path - 1948
An aerial path along the side of a Bavarian mountain - 1946
A rustic path between farm fields in Bavaria - 1946

They're all great views into the past but I would love to walk along that mountain path!
