First time that I had either seen or heard a meadowlark...it was very exhilarating...a cacophony of their songs and colors. D850/Sigma 150-600/

Well done. In the last image the bird is getting ready to split. I've found that if I click some high burst photos as they depart ya might get lucky with a stellar bif shot, but you probably know that already. Again well done with nice clarity. vz

Thanks ...I was driving my truck pretty fast down a country road looking for eagles and caracaras and heard this loud song and a flash of an image on a fence post that looked at first like a sparrow on steroids. I was lucky to get him as I was on 1/250 f5.6 for an eagle I had been shooting in the shadows.
