I was thinking about this subject once again even though their have been many subscribers on this site that have told me to quit beating my head against the wall. I was thinking, "when have I done this before! I know, when choosing between POLAROID and KODAK! In this case, POLAROID is the answer!...Julian

Have to be careful with this one. Polaroid offered a lot of options and controls, in addition to a lot of options with film, including positive/negative and ASA 4000 (or was it 3200) before it was readily available anywhere else. For instance, the Polaroid 195 was a fully manual adjustable camera with external flash connections and both FP and X synch choices. There were a lot of options with peel apart film...like plain paper transfer of developing images. And Polaroid backs for view camera bodies. All in addition to the more commonly known SX70 and later systems. And some of their specialized materials were capable of absolutely stunning results.

Nah.
Polaroid VS. Kodak is more like finger painting VS. Rembrandt

There’s no relationship between Kodak and Polaroid. Except on Wall Street. They were both image recording vehicles. And did that exceptionally well .

It's Poloroid & Kodak - 2 failed companies.

I'd have to hear your reasoning. I don't see the similarity.

I remember a few years ago taking a taxi to the airport from Cambridge and passing by the old Polaroid Building and the driver lamented the end of Polaroid as they used to just hire taxis for the day to transport executives and guests all over. He said he made thousands from them. Probably just a small reason for their going under but nevertheless a contributing one.

Care to elaborate? Because your statement simply makes no sense whatsoever, regardless of the angle from which it is viewed!

Yeah because Polaroid sued Kodak and won. Of course you should not beat your head against the wall.

Or perhaps because he beats his head against the wall?

Haha. I understand the rational behind your analogy.....

Yea, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
RAW is all the image data, a JPEG is a subset derived from the RAW data.

Why does it matter to you so much that you persist, as others have apparently stated, in "beating your head against the wall"?
