This is a good shot overall. But if you hadn't mentioned the gnarled tree I would not have paid any attention to it. It blends too much with the foreground.

I'd say you did indeed have crystal-clear skies and zero humidity! A wonderful shot for the sense of place and distance.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting gilpog. I was trying to frame a shot that included, and anchored, the snowy Henry's...thought this tree would frame the image well and, the rest is history!!
