I received this in an email message this morning. I can't swear if it is true or not but I have seen similar in other places. Read and comment at your own risk.

Trump salary

On Friday, the Trump administration released their annual report to Congress on White House Office Personnel It includes the name, status, salary and position title of all 377 White House employees. The report also said that Trump decided not to take a dime of his salary; instead he donated it to an amazing cause.

The report also showed that President Trump is far better at saving money. The total annual White House salaries under Trump are $35.8 million vs. $60.9 million under Obama, a savings of $25.1 million.

Here are some other key findings:

There are 140 fewer employees on White House staff under Trump than under Obama at this point in their respective presidencies.

There are only five staffers dedicated to Melania Trump vs. forty-four staffers who served Michelle Obama (FY2009).

However, it's what the report said Trump did with this salary that has everyone talking.

Instead of taking his salary, Trump donated all $400,000 to the Department of the Interior where it will be used for construction and repair needs at military cemeteries! AMAZING! It's so great to have a President who loves our brave military men and women so much!

Oh, and where's the media coverage of this?
That's right, they don't cover anything decent that the President does..

Dennis,
Regardless of whether this is true or not, the statement about the media's silence is seemingly right on target.

Better question is where have you been. This is old news, done before by Trump and reported on numerous occasions by CNN, FOX and MSNBC as well as three major networks.

True, but more positive re-enforcement is needed. We are so fortunate to be blessed with such a great and effective leader.

Yes it is. I would love to see a montage of the Positive moments of the Trump years as reported by the MSM. I suspect all stations together would total maybe 20 minutes for the first two years.

I have no problem with the MSM reporting on every single negative thing that Trump does. But wouldn't it be nice if, to be fair, they reported on every single positive thing he does as well. His tax cuts are a positive for America. But the only thing reported was how negative the tax cuts are for big corporations. Never a mention about middle America getting a pretty good tax cut. A shame.

So because some think that something is positive, it should be heralded as a wonderful and positive fact?

No Dave, absolutely not. All I and others are asking for is that what happened should be factually reported. That is all. I have never asked for the press to fawn over anybody, let alone President Trump. But what he does, positive and negative could be reported by a fair press. It isn't though. Only negative attributes of what Trump does is reported. That my friend is why Trump says the press is an enemy of the people. I believe he is correct on that matter.

I know you do not personally like Trump. No problem here. I don't like some things about him myself. But the press is not supposed to play political favorites. The press is supposed to be neutral by nature and report all the facts. The press regarding Donald Trump is not neutral and does not report all the facts, does it?

Your statement is fine, but you tainted it with an example that presumes that the tax cut was positive. Is that a widely accepted fact? My point being that who is to decide what the press should promote as newsworthy or positive.

Repetition is frequently needed for slow learners. Dennis did you a favor by posting this reminder. Posts like this probably wouldn't be needed if the MSM reported on more of Trump's accomplishments rather than the daily deluge of negative reports.

I again ask that who is to determine what an accomplishment is? What are the criteria? There is nothing political about my questions.

During his first year in office, the Trump Hotel in DC earned him $40 Million dollars. Much of this came from foreign governments who used to stay at other hotels but now stay at his.
Under the current law, this $40 Million Dollars should be given to the United States Treasury to avoid violating the Emoluments Clause.
It wasn't.
So please don't ask me to applaud his giving back his $400,000 salary.
I'd take that deal anytime.

You do not appear to want fair press. I have been in Arizona for a few months. I have never heard a negative comment about Trump on local broadcast TV. Not one, not once. That is not fair or factual. Three MSM appear to be pretty good at presenting facts, far better than the President at giving them.

Private cable companies should not have to be “fair”, look at FOX News, it makes no attempts at either. Why should CNN or MSNBC?

Stop trying to darken his reputation. He never gets proper credit. He's my hero no matter who he screws or how many lies he tells or whether or not his "accomplishments" have been fully analyzed for their total impact.

I am sure that you would be the expert in using repetition.
