I don't see where it makes much difference. California has 53 representatives. North Dakota has 1 representative. Therefore, California has 55 e*******l v**es and North Dakota has 3.

Would it really make any difference using, either the popular v**e or the e*******l v****g system, if California, with a population of 40 million v**ed one way and North Dakota with a population of 760,000 v**ed another?

Shouldn't the president of the United States be the person the majority of American v**ers prefer?

Issues that are of concern to the entire US are debated and settled in Congress. In the Senate, all states have an equal voice. (except the state the Senate Majority Leader comes from has much more power). The president can then sign or veto the bill. Seldom, if ever, is there an issue pitting big states against small states.

A smaller state’s e*****r can represent more people than that of a larger state. It helps level the playing field.

If it were just the popular v**e then what are now considered swing states would get less attention as would smaller states. Candidates would be far more focussed on the few most populated states. Thats one reason to keep it.

I think it is just the opposite. Candidates pretty much know which big states they are going to win. It's the so-called purple states, or swing states that need their attention. There isn't much reason for anyone to go to small states like North Dakota. They tend to go to swing states like Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and recently Texas. Texas has become somewhat of a swing state and it has the second most e*******l v**es.

In the past, candidates traveled to states by train and gave speeches in all the town's along the way. Now days with TV it doesn't matter much which state they are in. However, they tend to spend more time in swing states that have significant population and therefore more e*******l v**es. Their physical presence might make a difference in these states.

If enough States decide to do it, they can bypass e*******l v**e part of the constitution by awarding all their e*******l v**es to the candidate that has the most v**es nationally. Many states are planning on doing this. So far 23 states have approved it and many more 37 chambers have approved it.

That would make it much easier for Trump to be the 1st to ever get 538 e*******l v**es 'eh.

Smart. Invalidate a state’s v**e count. Heading the other way, forcing NY and CA to follow a Republican majority will have you demanding an e*******l college.

Lol

Denial. Enjoy the filth and inner cities of leftie socialist paradises. Most big mouthed lying lefties don’t even live in the inner cities. Yet lies about how great it is.

Many Lefties hide in republican low tax small govt states instead of moving to a high tax big government state & city. Why is that..???

Hypocrites.

Again, reading comprehension matters. The big mouths who scream the most don’t bother moving and living in Dem states.

You are sooooo predictable. I was hoping for something less obvious and a bit more original.

If the lefties don't even live in the inner cities, then it must be the righties that live in and enjoy the filth of the inner city.

Also, if the lefties are hiding in low tax small govt states then these must be blue states and the righties live in high tax states.

You really lack reading comprehension if you can't even comprehend your own writing..
