While I was photographing a few Pied-bill Grebes, one grabbed a fish and swallowed it live in about 6 seconds based on my camera metadata. I wasn't sure I captured the sequence until I looked at the pictures. The fish seemed way too big for this little Grebe. I'm sure the fish must have been wiggling in the Grebe's throat in the last shot. That little bird got an extra wiggle in his waggle ....and won't need to eat again for a while.

Yes, the Grebe maybe floating for a long time before flying again.
