The seaside town of PAIMPOL, situated pretty much on the top of Brittany, has an active fishing harbor and a large pleasure boat marina with stately houses lining the waterfront.
An hour drive to the east lies PLÉVENON, gateway to both the CAP FRÈHEL with its 2 large light houses and sheer cliffs, as well as the CASTLE LA LATTE ... sorry but there is definitely no relationship to the popular Caffè Latte ... but you can get a good breton galette at the quaint nearby restaurant "Le Petit Galet" at right up on the hill just before you reach the parking lot for the castle visit - see the final picture.

Another great set Weberwest. I have been enjoying your tour of Brittany so much. We did a similar loop thirty years ago from Roscoff across the North coast to Mont San Michele then south towards Renne to Quiberon and back up the Western coast. We must have missed Plevenon.
I had my first galette from a creparie truck in St Malo. Sprinkle a bit of grated Gruyere cheese on top of yours and you would have a classic Galette Complète.
Thanks for the post.

Thanks repleo for your comment. I am very pleased that my posts could bring back some great memories for you - Plevenon is in a outlying corner and easy to miss, but there are so many great places up there, can't possibly see them all. Over the next few posts, we will be moving on towards St Malo, with the very neat place of Dinan before, possibly you visited this as well - it is choc-a-block full of 15th - 16th century houses. Then we'll visit St Malo before entering Normandy at Mont St Michel - so many spectacular places in this corner of France! Thanks for following the tour along.
Love going on your trip with you, Joe. The new light house is really something. I just love the architecture images. I see you eat well on these trips.

I like the masonry stonework in #9. Almost looks like it predates 1950. Other photos were great, too.
